Abstract Art by Artist KDD
"The artist may use any form which his expression demands;
for his inner impulse must find suitable expression."
Wassily Kandinsky from "Concerning The Spiritual In Art"

Modern abstract art is my life's work. Abstraction permeates what we call reality. Sometimes we see something only to find out that it's not what we thought we saw at all.
There is a spirituality to abstract art. There are those who contend that abstract art is not art at all. Look around you, I say, and see the abstractness in nature and tell me that it is not art! Abstract art can take you into realms that you never thought of.
My subject matter ranges from abstract realism to pure non-objective. Clues are provided in the pieces I produce, but a knowledge of light and its spiritual nature is the key to understanding most of my art.
Browse my web site to see the different styles of my work. If you see something that you like, let me know by emailing me. And if you have a request for a special piece, I will gladly make it for you.
I enjoy making art that is ambiguous in the way it can be taken.
Art can speak to people if the people allow the art to speak to them and not ask the question, 'What is it?' or 'What does it mean?'
Good abstract art should make you think about your, the viewer's, feelings toward the work.
Medium is only a form of expression. The expression of the artist is not what counts, it's the impression of the viewer that really counts.
If the artist can make the viewer ask, 'What does it mean to me?' or 'How does this work of abstract art, imagery, make me feel?' or 'Is this the way the artist was feeling and am I supposed to feel something different?' or 'What do I see?', and the list goes on, a true artist has then done his job -- -- taken you to a higher plane.
